Not
only do we offer 5 star accommodation and service but
we also have the distinct advantage of being tucked
away in a delightful and tranquil location, set in 12
acres amongst open countryside, overlooking our own
wooded valley and rolling green farmlands.
Yet, we are also within easy
reach of main roads and local attractions. As a
5 Star Country House we understand the importance
of quality, comfort and above all, a warm genuine welcome
combined with excellent value for money. Here at Coedllys
Uchaf we make every effort to combine these elements
to ensure your stay is both enjoyable and memorable.
Coedllys
Uchaf, built around 1810, which translates from the
Welsh language to Upper Woodland Court, is over 190
years old and is a most beautifully restored country
house, with large, elegantly furnished cottage style
rooms. We enjoy uninterrupted views across gently rolling
Carmarthenshire farmlands with the county of Pembrokeshire
in the distance.

a full Welsh breakfast, choice of tea or coffee. We
have 3 guest rooms for you to choose from and if your
intended stay is for that 'special' romantic break we
can provide a champagne breakfast. If
you are celebrating a special occasion, please let us
know.
Whether
staying for business or for pleasure; Coedllys Country
House provides a unique and stunning location. Each
visit is an experience of a lifetime, and our guests
return again and again.
Awards & Achievements
We were the first guesthouse to be awarded the prestigious 5 Star award in Carmarthenshire by the Welsh Tourist Board and continue to ensure that the high standards that go towards this achievement are constantly maintained.
In adition we are proud to be nominated for Tourism Personality of the Year 2005 by the Carmarthen Tourist Association.
The RAC have granted us a warm welcome and sparkling diamond award.
Woodland Walk
Not content to let the
grass grow beneath our feet (no pun intended)
during the spring of 2004 with the help
of Tir Gofal - An All Wales Agricultural
environmental scheme, work
commenced on our woodland area, with
the introduction of wildlife ponds, bog
gardens, new trees and a woodland walk.
In addition we have banked our stream
and built bridges in key locations, all
of which is designed to enhance the beauty
of the grounds and make your stay that little
more special and memorable.
We hope that you will arrive
as our guests but leave as friends.
