RUNNING AND MANAGING A BED AND BREAKFAST
Do you want to run and Manage a Bed and Breakfast?
Then our course is ideal for you.
Fed up with your job?
Looking for a career change?
Or perhaps taking early retirement or redundancy?
Or are longing to work for yourself?
Then let us help you achieve your dream.
Based in Carmarthenshire, South West Wales, Coedllys is very accessible from the M4 and less than 3 miles from the A40 at St. Clears.
Our course is residential.
Arrive on a Monday and depart after breakfast on the following Friday morning. The cost includes accommodation and full board. Being a vocational course, you are not just sitting in a class room – which is important – but you will also learn how to clean a room thoroughly and to top hotel standards with hands on training. You can also learn how to juggle breakfast times, preparation and cooking if you wish.
We have been running a very successful multi award winning Bed and Breakfast and Holiday rental business for the past 16 years. Many of our guests return time after time, year after year. 78% recommendation or repeat bookings.
We started running our first B&B courses 11 years ago.
If you are looking to run a B&B from you home or buying elsewhere than we can help you.
Running a B&B can be an excellent business opportunity – even in these hard times – IF you know what you are doing. There are many pitfalls, competition is fierce and mistakes costly, in both money and time, especially when you are at your most vulnerable, as a new B&B owner.
More and more discerning people are turning away from hotels to use quality B&B accommodation.
We are able to offer an excellent tried and tested course in luxury surroundings at affordable prices
I also act as an inspector for a popular B&B Guest Accommodation Brochure and am therefore able to give advice from an Inspectors prospective.
A few of the things covered in the Course are:
- Do you stay in you home or buy a B&B
- Interior design - How to decorate for your target market.
- LOCATION.
- Business Plan & Financing
- What to expect from the job.
- What can you bring to the job.
- Housekeeping & Purchasing the right products at the right price.
- Difference between a changeover and a daily service.
- Practical hands on experience.
- Taking reservations – avoid double booking.
- Dealing with difficult Guests.
- Web sites.
- Credit card facilities
- The Law
- VAT.
- Evening meals.
- And SO much more.
We have course running through 2012 and 2013. Please contact us for more details.
2012 Rates
Based on two people sharing a room.
£499.00 per person – fully inclusive.
Single attendee
£650.00 – fully inclusive.
We recommend that both/all parties involved in opening and running a B&B attend the course. This prevents problems and arguments, which can cause the business to fail. Many companies and the Government operate retraining schemes for persons being made redundant – where they will pay for the (ex)employee. We are happy to separate the billing in such circumstances.
We will run courses for a minimum 2 people. However, if only one person is able to attend and is the only person on the course a further £100.00 is chargeable.
If you are interested in attending one of our courses please contact Val on 01994 231455. She will be delighted to discuss the course and your requirements.
We are also happy to chat with you should you have any problems or queries once you have purchased your B&B – no matter how long ago that may have been – for no further charge.
We are also happy to supply details of previous attendees who are running very successful B&B’s.
If we can help you do please get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you.
